  • Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs unanimously decides to keep its mosques closed and to continue suspending group prayers inside them.
  • The clerics of Ittehad-e-Tanzeemat-e-Madaris in Pakistan, including Mufti Muneebur Rehman, announce a consensus with the Sindh government over standard operating procedures for the congregational prayers on Eid al-Adha, the holiday following the hajj pilgrimage scheduled to take place next month.
  • Pakistan’s President and religious leaders advise the public to opt for a ‘collective sacrifice’ on Eid al-Adha due to the current pandemic.
  • Update: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj  decides to hold a very limited Hajj this year due to COVID-19.
