August 6, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

“The Uses of Comparative Law in the Social Sciences”

The American Society of Comparative Law is hosting an online conference on “The Uses of Comparative Law in the Social Sciences” on Saturday, September 12. Nine distinguised social scientists — from the fields of economics, political science, anthropology, sociology, and psychology — will present papers explaining how comparative law figures in their research. Commentary will be provided by comparative law scholars familiar with the relevant fields. The papers will be published next year in a special issue of the American Journal of Comparative Law. An up-to-date program is being distributed with this message.

This promises to be an outstanding event that will generate new insights about the value of comparative legal analysis. There is no charge to attend the conference, which will take place on the Zoom meeting platform, but advance registration is required. To register, please send your email address and affiliation to the ASCL Executive Assistant, Christina Roux, ccarbour@tulane.edu. You will be sent the necessary Zoom link and password before the conference date.
