SUMMARY:Call for Applications: Assistant Professor\, University of Southern California in Los Angeles
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles seeks to fill the Farhang Foundation Junior Chair in Iranian Studies at the Assistant Professor rank (tenure track). We are looking for a specialist of modern Iran with a social science orientation. Applicants with training in anthropology\, sociology\, political economy\, environmental studies\, urban studies\, or geography will be considered.  Applicants must have received their Ph.D. by August 15\, 2020\, the start date of the position. \nReview of complete applications will begin on September 15. Inquiries should be sent to (mdes@usc.edu). \nIn addition to the letter of application\, applicants should include their curriculum vitae\, a writing sample\, the names of three referees who will be contacted by USC for a letter of reference\, and sample syllabi. The position will remain open until filled.
