SUMMARY:Call for Applications: University of Exeter: Postdoctoral Fellow\, Shi'a Islamic Studies
DESCRIPTION:Two positions are available on a fixed term basis from 1st April 2019 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for a period of 2 years in the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies\, College of Social Sciences and International Studies (SSIS) at the University of Exeter. \nThe College wishes to recruit two Research Fellows to participate in the Law\, Authority and Learning in Shiite Islam (LAWALISI) ERC Advanced project\, awarded to Professor Robert Gleave. Based in the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies\, the project team members examine the development of Imami Shi’i legal thinking from the earliest times to the contemporary period\, placing them in the context of the wider development and elaboration of Islamic law.
