Call for Abstracts: ABA Criminal Justice Section Academics Committee Works-in-Progress Workshop

Once again, the ABA Criminal Justice Section Academics Committee is hosting a workshop with works-in-progress roundtables. The workshop is hosted in partnership with the Academy for Justice at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, the Criminal Procedure Section of the AALS, and the Criminal Law Section of the AALS.

The roundtables will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. E.S.T., remotely over Zoom. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to get thorough feedback on paper drafts before the February submissions cycle. Any work-in-progress related to criminal justice is eligible.

If you are interested in participating in the workshop, please e-mail an abstract of your paper of no more than 300 words to abaroundtables2022@gmail.com by October 21, 2022. Academic fellows and clinical faculty are encouraged to participate. Papers will be chosen by members of the organizing committee. There is no registration fee.

Selected roundtables, organized by similar topics, involve focused paper discussions. Participants will be expected to circulate a draft (or abstract and/or other relevant materials if you are still in the early stages of the project) via e-mail to members of their assigned group by mid-November. Every participant is expected to provide thoughtful feedback on each paper.
