The Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations (NMC) in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream position in Late Ottoman History. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, and the anticipated start date is September 1, 2020. Teaching responsibilities will be at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree in History and/or Middle Eastern Studies or a closely related field, by the time of appointment and have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research commensurate with the rank of assistant professor.
