The Middle East Studies Association of North America invites and encourages submissions for its 55th Annual Meeting to be held in the fall of 2021. Submissions by students are more than welcome. If you are interested, please make sure to have your proposals in by the deadline on February 18, 2021 at midnight (EST). Submissions may be in the form of pre-organized panels, pre-organized roundtables, or individual papers (to be formed into panels by the program committee). All submissions must be made through the myMESA electronic submission system (https://mesana.org/mymesa/login.php).

Membership is a requirement to submit a proposal. To renew your 2021 membership, login to your myMESA account. To join you will need to create an account in myMESA, complete a profile, and pay the annual dues. Contact Sara Palmer at email@example.com with questions about membership. Preregistration payment is not required until May 15, after the program committee decisions are released.
The MESA 2021 meeting is currently scheduled for October 28-31, in Montréal, Québec, Canada; however, meeting safely in person will be of course contingent on governmental regulations, among other critical factors. We are aiming to remain as flexible as possible in response to changing circumstances.
