| The Middle East Initiative is seeking research proposals from Harvard faculty for projects which target major policy issues affecting the region. Applications are due no later than 11:59 pm on Monday, March 15, 2021.
Funding is made possible by the Emirates Leadership Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School and the Kuwait Program at Harvard Kennedy School. Details regarding priority topic areas for each of these two programs are available on the MEI website. We welcome applications for both major and exploratory research projects:
- Major Research Projects: Proposals may be for one- and two-year grants to support research by Harvard faculty members and can be applied toward research assistance, travel, summer salary, workshops, and course buy-out.
- Exploratory Research Projects: Exploratory grants are intended to support travel to Kuwait or to the UAE to participate in academic seminars and conferences, develop research projects with local scholars and institutions, and share the results of Harvard faculty research with local audiences.
