Position opening: Assistant Professor in Southeast Asian history, Brown University, October 2, 2023

The Department of History at Brown University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position, at the assistant professor level, in Southeast Asia. Historically informed research in all subfields, regions, and time periods will be considered. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter. Ph.D. or equivalent is required by time of appointment.

The department places a high priority on research excellence, high-quality teaching, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.
