Summer Program: Comparative Law, AALS, May 15-June 16, 2023

The AALS’s France summer program will take place between May 15-June 16, 2023. Applications are now open with a few spots left. The cost is $8,000, which includes 6 credits, housing, legal and touristic visits, plus opening and closing meals. The program spends the first five days in Paris and then goes to the beach front town of Arcachon, one hour from Bordeaux. The courses include: Introduction to French Law I (one credit) and II (one credit) (Paris lawyer/professor Michael Amado); Comparative Criminal Procedure (2 credits) (Iowa professor and associate dean Emily Hughes); and Law in the Muslim World (2 credits) (Iowa professor and Program Director Adrien Wing).
