Katherine Lemons is Associate Professor of Anthropology at McGill University and author of Divorcing Traditions: Islamic Marriage Law and the Making of Indian Secularism (2019, Cornell University Press). Her areas of research and expertise include anthropology of Islam and secularism, gender and kinship, and law.
