The Islamic Law Blog is continuing to feature Harvard student comments on primary sources related to Islamic law. Our student editor for the month of June is Limeng, a second-year JD student at Harvard Law School.
Each month, we feature a series of three comments written by a student in the Digital Islamic Law Lab (DILL), an incubator for Harvard students to work on Islamic law throughout an academic term, under the supervision of Professor Intisar Rabb at Harvard Law School. Students spend a semester doing a dive deep into a subject of their choice based on new or historical cases, fatwās, or other sources of law and workshop their analysis with their peers. They place the content in context, sometimes with the assistance of machines. We share their results on the Islamic Law Blog, consisting of a brief summary and an in-depth analysis of, as well as a link to, the primary sources so you can see them yourself.
