Field Guide to Digital Islamic Law Resources Roundup

The Field Guide to Digital Islamic Law, in the form of a Google document, is a collection of resource links and annotations to SHARIAsource and other Harvard resources, global online digital resources, and a robust “Digital Islamic Law Collection.” We recently added exciting resources to this list:

  • EastLaws is an Arabic-only database for Arab legislation and Supreme Court decisions in the Middle East and North Africa, including judicial judgments, Islamic legislation, legal provisions (including, the doctrine of Imam Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal, personal status laws, Indian fatwās of Imām Abū Ḥanīfa, Imām Shāfi’ī’s jurisprudence, all fatwās issued from the Egyptian Fatwā Council).
  • EuroDocs is a collection of major primary documents from Ottoman and Turkish history, with links to modern legal databases.
