• In “Online Marriage from the Perspective of Islamic Law and Positive Law at the Junrejo District Religious Affairs Office” (Islamika: Jurnal Keislaman Dan Ilmu Pendidikan 7, no. 1 (2025)), Habil Syahril Haj and Tutik Hamidah (UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang) “analyze the validity of online marriage contracts according to Islamic law by examining the perspectives of various schools of fiqh and Indonesian positive law.”
• In “Faith in Transition: A Week Inside a Gender Surgery Clinic” (E-International Relations, April 24, 2025), Mehrdad Alipour (Utrecht University) argues “that Islamic law does not inherently oppose non-binary gender and/or sex. “
