Ovamir Anjum is the Imam Khattab Endowed Chair of Islamic Studies at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Toledo. He is the author of Politics, Law and Community in Islamic Thought: The Taymiyyan Moment (Cambridge University Press, 2012) and has recently translated Ibn al-Qayyim’s (d. 1351) spiritual classic Madārij al-Sālikīn (Ranks of Divine Seekers, Brill 2020). He is Director of Research at the Yaqeen Institute and the founder of the Ummatics Institute.
