Call for Proposals Faculty Grants in Islamic Studies

2019-2020 Academic Year

The Alwaleed Islamic Studies Program at Harvard University is accepting proposals for faculty grants to support workshops, symposia, or research projects for the 2019-20 academic year. Proposals must be of relevance to the study of Islam or Muslim societies, past and present. Applicants must be tenure-track Harvard faculty. Priority will be given to faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. For the 2019-20 academic year, the AISP seeks to fund two proposals up to $7,500 each.

Please send a brief letter of intent along with a general budget and anticipated date(s) of the proposed activity to AISP Executive Director, Dr. Harry Bastermajian (harry_bastermajian@harvard.edu) no later than September 30, 2019. Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning on October 1.
