  • Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s special representative on Afghanistan, recently stated: ““They say it [i.e. restrictions on women’s access to education] is Islamic. It is not Islamic.   • President Joe Biden announced plans to nominate the first Muslim to serve on a federal appeals court: “Adeel Mangi, a Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler litigation partner who was born in Karachi, Pakistan, will be nominated to the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit,” the White House said.
  • “A Muslim woman and her daughter [in Malaysia] [have] challeng[ed] amendments to a sharia law made by a state government in 2019, saying they go against the Federal Constitution.”
  • The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs [of Qatar] in coordination with the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) [announced that they were planning to] launch an Associate Diploma Programme in Da’wah and Islamic Sciences.”
