- In “The Islamic perspective on physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia” (Medicine Science and the Law 60, vol. 4 (2020)), Mohammed Madadin, Houria S Al Sahwan and Khadijah K Altarouti (Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Saudi Arabia) conduct an extensive search on the “PubMed database” in order to “retrieve relevant articles, then the references listed in the selected articles,” after which they discuss the Islamic view on euthanasia. The authors ultimately conclude the practice to be prohibited under Islamic law.
